Charles Messier

Per testare il nuovo sensore CCD (Finger Lakes ME2) acquistato di recente, abbiamo pensato di riprendere in L-RGB, tutti gli oggetti di Messier.
La prima edizione apparve nelle"Memoires de l'Academie" del 1771.
In questa prima "release" gli oggetti andavano da M1 a
M45.
Il primo supplemento venne pubblicato nel "Connaissance des Temps"
nel 1783.
La versione definitiva del catalogo apparve nel volume "Connaissance
des Temps" nell 1784, che conteneva gli oggetti fino ad M103.
Messier non pubblicò ulteriori aggiornamenti, gli oggetti che vanno
sotto le sigle da M104 a M110 sono stati aggiunti al catalogo da vari studiosi.
